About AA-Gainesville
The Alcoholics Anonymous Gainesville Group is a local chapter of Alcoholics Anonymous located in Gainesville, Texas that serves the North Central Texas area.
Our members are laborers, professionals, and retirees. We are a group of people who likely would have never met each other if we did not have one thing in common. Alcoholism nearly killed us. We tried every means of conquering the problem that we could think of, and when all of our ideas failed, we turned to Alcoholics Anonymous.
The members of AA-Gainesville nursed us back to health by providing a simple, but not necessarily easy, course of action. It seems, that all of us who learned to follow the recipe for sobriety have managed to stay sober. Nobody in our group ever wanted to end up at Alcoholics Anonymous Gainesville. It simply was not a life goal or bucket list item. But we found that it worked. We welcome you to give it a try.
About Alcoholics Anonymous
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for AA membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. AA is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. Our primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.
